The suspect in a capturing close to Los Angeles – through which 10 folks have been killed and one other 10 wounded – has been discovered useless by the police.
He was discovered with a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside a white van, LA County Sheriff Robert Luna stated.
Armed police had surrounded the van in a carpark in Torrance, about 30 miles (48km) from the scene of the capturing in Monterey Park.
Police have recognized the suspected gunman as Huu Can Tran, aged 72.
The mass capturing occurred at a dance venue in Monterey Park throughout the Lunar New Yr celebrations.
